Murmurs is a performance series that examines the destiny of information and the role black holes play as the universe's archives. During the performances, The Archivist listens to X-ray data from the GRS 1915+105 star system’s black hole, translated into audio signals by Edward Morgan of MIT. As The Archivist records this data before it disappears into the black hole, the performance contemplates the permanence of information and its ultimate fate in the cosmos.
